The coating itself does not remove scratches. Polishing improves the paint first; the coating then helps preserve that finish. Every package includes a light preparation polish. Heavier swirls, deeper scratches and neglected paint may need additional correction, which is quoted separately. Deep damage through the clear coat may require paint repair rather than polishing.
Yes—if easier washing and keeping your paint looking good matter to you. A daily driver sees road film, wet weather and frequent washing, so easier cleaning can be useful even on a vehicle that is not a show car. Coating still needs regular care. The best package depends on how long you plan to keep the vehicle, where it is parked and your budget.
Both can be suitable. A new car can still have transport contamination or light wash marks, so it needs preparation before coating. An older vehicle can benefit too, provided the paint is sound. Faded, peeling or damaged clear coat cannot be repaired with a coating. The paint’s condition determines the preparation needed, rather than the vehicle’s age alone.
No. Ceramic coating is a thin surface treatment, not an impact-absorbing film. Stones, poor washing techniques and physical contact can still damage the paint. Its main benefits are gloss, easier cleaning and resistance to everyday environmental exposure. If stone-chip protection is your priority, paint protection film is a different type of protection to consider.
The packages offer up to two, three or five years of durability with appropriate care. Exposure, mileage, storage and washing habits all affect performance. Regular washing and removing contamination help the coating perform; it is not a maintenance-free treatment. Choose a duration that fits your ownership plans rather than assuming the longest package is essential for every vehicle.
Yes. Dirt, road film and minerals still collect on a coated vehicle, but they are generally easier to remove. Use a gentle hand wash with a coating-safe, pH-neutral shampoo and clean microfibre equipment, then dry the surface rather than letting water evaporate. Avoid abrasive brush washes and aggressive products. The initial curing period needs extra care before normal washing resumes.
Yes. Water beading does not prevent minerals from being left behind when droplets dry, and bird droppings or tree sap still need prompt attention. Wash in the shade and dry the vehicle after rinsing. If beading becomes weaker, contamination may be masking the coating rather than the coating having disappeared. Use suitable maintenance products instead of aggressive polishing or household cleaners.
Start with your ownership plans and budget. The two-year option has the lowest starting price; three years offers a longer protection period; five years is aimed at longer-term ownership. Existing swirls or scratches may make preparation more important than extra coating years. You can request a quote without choosing a package—describe the vehicle and what you want to improve, and Jamie can recommend an option.
Vehicle size and paint condition can change the amount of work. Larger vehicles, stubborn contamination and additional paint correction may require more time. The listed price includes a light preparation polish; extensive correction is a separate item. Your quote should identify the preparation, surfaces being coated and total price before work begins, so you can decide what fits your priorities.
For planning, allow roughly one to three days for preparation, coating application and the initial cure. A straightforward vehicle may need less time than paint that requires extensive correction. This is a planning range, not a guaranteed EXIN turnaround. Jamie will confirm the actual drop-off and collection schedule for your vehicle before you book.
Durability and warranty are different. The two-, three- and five-year terms describe the coating’s potential service life with appropriate care; they are not promises against every type of damage. Any applicable warranty has its own written conditions, exclusions and maintenance requirements. Stone chips, physical scratches and neglected care should not be assumed to be covered. The terms for your chosen product should be confirmed with your quote.
Complete the free-quote form below or call Jamie with your vehicle details and paint concerns. You do not need to select a package first, and no payment is required to request a quote. If you are ready to arrange your service, use Book Now to open EXIN’s OrbisX page. Any appointment, deposit and final preparation requirements are confirmed before the work begins.
At EXIN’s indoor shop: Unit 3, 3012 Boys Road, Duncan, BC V9L 6W4. An indoor workspace keeps preparation and application out of direct sun and changing weather, with dedicated lighting to inspect the finish. Arrange your visit in advance so there is time set aside for your vehicle and a clear plan for drop-off and collection.
The packages shown focus on painted surfaces. Glass, wheel finishes and exterior trim can need different products and preparation. If you want those areas protected too, include them in your request so the quote clearly lists which surfaces are covered. Do not assume a paint-coating package automatically includes every exterior surface.
The first day after application is especially important: the fresh coating needs protection from water and contamination while it begins curing. Full curing takes longer than the initial collection time. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive washing during that early period, and follow the instructions supplied for the actual coating before the first wash. Jamie will explain when the vehicle is ready to leave the shop and how to manage wet weather.
Tell us what you drive and what you would like to improve. You do not need to know which coating to choose—we can help with that.
